What's Happenin' 'round the Diocese
Students are welcome to drop by the Anglican Student Ministry Centre, located in the HUB Mall on the University of Alberta campus, and chat with University Chaplain Sue Oliver. Here are some of the events Sue has planned for the fall:
The Worship Room
Starting September 13th, a free community supper and worship service held at St. George's church, 11733-87 Ave. (next to Lister Hall). Come and feed your body, mind and spirit!
Crossroads
A Christian fellowhip group meeting every Thursday for a meal and lively discussion at Sue's house.
Coming Events:
National Anglican/Lutheran Youth Gathering
The first ever Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth gathering (CLAY) is planned for August 2010 in London, Ontario at the London Convention Centre. An anticipated 2000 youth from across the country will attend the event. Anyone between the ages of 14 and 19, as of December 31st, 2010, can attend. Each group of six youth members must be accompanied by one adult leader. Updates - including conference fees and accommodations - will be posted on the Anglican Youth website at www.generation.anglican.ca/category/clay/. Start fundraising now and plan to attend CLAY gathering 2010!
