Living our IDSynod Presentation by Archdeacon for Mission and Discipleship We are a new creation; Christ's ambassadors! This affirmation comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, which provided the theme for the 65th Synod: "Made New in Christ." But how do we work out this newness in Christ and this call to be ambassadors, especially in a ‘post-Christendom’ context, when most people in our communities seem to have no interest in church? In his Synod presentation, the Ven. Richard King, Archdeacon for Mission and Discipleship, described Jesus' approach to training up His first ambassadors, the disciples. For more infomation visit:

Sending Out - What Do We Do Now?
Bishop Jane Alexander closed the 65th Synod saying: "The best way to go from here today is to commit to one another that the things we have learnt will not have a passive life; notes in margins or on documents on our ipads or laptops. We live in a new creation and therefore must continue to renew ourselves – and not by just wandering about, thinking of trendy things to do and disrupting everything that we have ever done before. Rather it is to say where are we called to grow...?" For more infomation visit: http://edmonton.anglican.org/news/sending-out-what-do-we-do-now
