The Altar Guild of St. John the Evangelist, Edmonton is offering a set of altar clothes to a parish that can use them. The following items have been consecrated and the Guild would like to see them find a good home:

  • White Damask – 34.5” in length (finished hems 4” on bottom and 2.5” on top) X 188” in width (with 1” hem). This cloth was made to fit an altar that had extra fabric that must have gone over or around something.  The dimension for the extra pieces (2) is 16”x46”. This fabric has been well used but has no rips or stains.   
  • Green (plain) – 42.5” in length (finished hems 5” on bottom and 1” on top) X 148” in width.  Again this cloth was made to fit an altar with extra fabric that must have gone over or around something. The dimension for extra pieces (2) is 12.5” x 24.5” with 2” hem on top. This fabric is in good condition, without rips or stains.
  • Purple Damask – This cloth is a rectangle with no extra pieces. 55” wide X 138” (5” hem at bottom and 2” hem at top). This fabric is in good condition, without rips or stains.
  • Green Burse and matching Veil  - Burse is 9.25” square with pocket for purificators. 24” square Veil is lined and made by C.M. Almy & Son. Perfect condition.
  • Purple Burse - 9.25” square; opens for purificators in a water stripe damask. Perfect condition.
  • Red Damask Veil - 24” square lined veil, made by C.M. Almy & Son. Perfect condition.
